I got "Jennifer" twice this morning - woke me up, calling my cell. I told her to stop calling me. If you wait long enough, she's actually on the line, even though it's oddly silent. The second time I said "you called me half an hour ago, this is my cell, stop wasting my minutes" She apologized and I'm pretty sure she said she'd take me off the list. What poor sap has this for a job??!
I think it's an automated call. They have called me to ask if I want to install a security system. Whenever I say something there is a couple second pause until they respond. I think they have automated technology that recognizes what I said and they have automated responses to it. Next time they call I want to try and say something ridiculous and see how they respond.
identified himself as calling from Home Security Group and offering to install free alarm system in exchange for putting their sign in our window. He asked me for me first and last name but I declined to tell him. He ended the call by telling me that he was going to have a specialist call me back rather than keep me on hold since they were SO busy.
Scam. Have the sense that this is some sort of identity theft ring.
Five minutes later I received a call from 877-897-1993, with no voice/noise on the other end.
Man I wish these twerps could be prosecuted.
