Heard lots of noise in the background. Then man with Indian accent told me that my "Windows computer" was sending out messages that his server was picking up.
They will remember this call.
I was very busy at the time. The phone rang more than four times, so I answered it, as it was probably not a robodialler. When the "Bombay Welsh" started about my "windows computer sending error messages" I was in an instant bad mood.
"WHICH COMPUTER?"
"Your home Windows computer...How many do you have?"
"A lot of them. What's the IP Address of the "problem computer"?
"We do not have that! We are not hackers...."
WHAT.IS.THE F******** IP ADDRESS???!"
".stammer....."
"I ASKED YOU A TECHNICAL QUESTION, YOU STUPID M.....F..... SCUMBAG!. GFYS, you (Word that invites death)
*SLAM* and BLOCKED.
We need to outlaw VOIP. It isn't worth it any more.
We also need to have freighters drag their anchors on the seabed fiber connecting India.
The caller claimed Social Security gave them my name as someone who may be interested in the Ticket to Work program. The call originates from Los Angeles. I live on the east coast. I think SS would give my name to someone in closer proximity to my location. Also, the call came in on Saturday. Seemed strange to me. They hung up after a few minutes of questioning.
Same as others...call from someone with an accent that my Windows was showing a problem. Told him I was reporting the number to the police and hung up. My sister fell for this scam a few years ago and had nothing but problems when they got into her computer and stole information. This is the 3rd call I have received from this number within the last couple of weeks.
