We receive calls from this number quite often, I have blocked hundreds of numbers. They answer with Hi this is Marie, or hello this is Annie. or Lisa. They a guy with an Indian sounding voice takes over. It is all an off-shore scam and they lure the un-suspecting, usually a retired person like myself, to the tune of Millions of dollars. They are not Americans, but try to make believe they are, they are criminals and until Congress addresses this problem our hands are tied. If Congress makes the phone companies responsible it will end.
SCAM. First it was a recording telling me I'd won a free cruise to the Bahamas, and I just needed to take a three-question survey. After the survey I was "connected to" an actual person. The guy - after reciting information about the type of cruise, etc. - said he needed my credit card number. Told him I wasn't going to give it to him, then hung up.
