Received call from gentleman with accent. Left message that I or my attorney needed to return call. Dumb a** couldn't even get the number right for me to call back. Could tell he was reading from a script, LOL. Feel bad for those that fall for this.
I received a message on my answering machine from "Department of Legal Affairs" informing me that "enforcement action" had been started against my name, and instructing me to call back or have my lawyer do it for me, to avoid a "legal mess." I couldn't understand the name the man gave--sounded something like "Raydon Cat." His accent and intonation were not that of a native speaker. I tried to call back just to see what he was looking for--social security number? Banking info? I wanted to know. I received a busy signal.
Pay no attention to ridiculous messages such as these, much less follow their phony instructions. If you haven't received anything in the mail, disregard it entirely. Without an answering machine, no bogus threats, or anything, and you can just ignore the call. It's the start of an extortion scam, aiming for your personal and financial info.
