Either a collection agency spoofing their call from number or a telemarketer.
Either way, this [***] will NEVER stop unless people make it an actual punishable crime to spoof caller ID regardless of who the caller is.
Caller said his name was "Ocsar", that the company was "Olympus" and that they were gathering managers of business, to investigate the possibility of the firm investing up to $100K in the business. The man couldn't state the name of the owner of my company- not what the business of the company was. I requested he remove my number from his phone list and hung up.
Got a call on my cell phone from 214-200-0000. Man on the line said he was calling from Flagstaff, Arizona police department (I was expecting a call from them, but this number does not match their area code or phone number). I told him I was suspicious of this number, so he gave me the police department's number to call back to. It was a legit call. He doesn't know why the 214-200-0000 came up. I'm wondering if this isn't a long distance carrier's number.
Yes, I got same experience from a caller 214 200 0000 today. It is mysterious. Obviously, there is scam...I tried to contact there but no response and it was just the beep.
