This call was blocked by our Digitone call blocker. (We block every area code except the four local ones.) We couldn't answer it; it was blocked. Someone out of town who wants to talk to us would call back (happens a few times a year), so this works great; we can ‘invite’ those few out-of-town callers. About the only ones that are blocked and shouldn't be are people who, for no reason, block their home phone number. We have been on state and federal do-not-call lists for years… and reregister regularly, so nearly any call that is blocked is a scam.
It is a Scam. They want money for you state police. I was stupid and gave them the address. I called our state police and was told they do not ask for donations.
