They call all the time i usually never answer, i did today they wanted to speak w/ my 18 year old son. I didn't let them talk to him. I asked the lady who she was, she just said she'll call back and hung up on me. I will not answer again.
An adult male has been calling for my 14 year old daughter. He said that he was calling regarding a gift for her parents. I said she wasn't available. Called again today. I am very concerned that at best it is a scam and at worst a predator. I have no idea how he obtained her name or number.
Your school district is required to release a directory of all students which includes names, addresses, and phone numbers. Your child is on that list and will not be removed unless you explicitly state that you want this information kept confidential.
Call many times a day .. I thought it was a person re: class rings, so I let them talk to my son. They want him to "buy a plaque to honor and show appreciation to his parents". BLEH! Of course he said yes and now they won't go away! They even showed up at my house at 10:15 PM!!
