This is Mavel Associates, a less-than-professional collection agency. They buy written-off debts from as many as 10+ years ago. Many of their tactics are illegal, but they get away with it because the enforcement is not high on anyone's priority list.
Report them to the BBB for harassment. Their tactics are illegal. They have total disregard that you are telling them you aren't the person they're seeking, and they will just turn around and call back ten minutes later........it's like groundhog's day. The people that work there have very limited education and for lack of a better description are truly ignorant (as in not smart).
The lady called and i never verified any of the information of the individual she was contacting. I was called a liar. And said " your mad cause you owe us money!" Screaming to the top of her lungs.....................well i guess she's mad !
