Receive a call several times a day, no one replies, then the call disconnects. Caller ID shows unknown name. I have called back and a recorded message allows you to add your number to the Do Not Call List, problem solved.
Funny, but irritating. While I was filing a report on another scammer, this one called. I already had the number blocked (on do not disturb), though, so I wasn't disturbed by it.
It seems to be the dummies who call to sell me car insurance. I gave my car away two years ago, and I have told them this. That does not stop them, though, proving to me it is just another scam.
They are so freaking annoying!!!! They call at least once or twice a day. I never answer my phone.
They are phishing for personal information from you so that can get your identity and use your credit.
Their really should be a law against this, because the do not call list does not appear to work.
Works for what it was meant to, nothing more. You must be answering in some manner if you know what they're after. That's why they continue to call. Do you fish where they're not biting (call numbers that are known to have no answer) or go where they are?
