Ignore those communications. If there is an outstanding debt that is legitimate then they must send you a copy of the debt with all particulars and it must be sent by US mail. E-mail no good. If they won't do this, then tell them that you are not giving them anything.
They are throwing around a lot of legal terms that are essentially worthless. This is typical of kitchen-table debt scammers. There is no court case and no warrant. Ordinary civil debt is a civil matter. No arrests are involved. Police are not involved. Warrants are only issued by judges and then only to law enforcement agencies. Debt collectors cannot get warrants for anything.
Do not talk to them, DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY! DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT give them any credit card numbers or financial information!
They call you again tell them that they've been reported and you're not afraid of their stupid threats. State by State Investigations is a fraud. No such company.
Got a call from this number today stating that I wrote a bad check to a pay day loan place which never happened I gave the pay day loan place my eft info to draft money, by the time they drafted money I had closed account, not on purpose...I never heard from company telling me they didn't get paid then "investigator Taylor" called me stating if I didn't send money order or bank to bank wire money by 4 my case was going before the judge and they were issuing a warrant for my arrest at 4. My husband called her and she gave him the number to Ashland Funding 904-379-6806. When he called it he swore it was same lady he just spoke to from 214 number. She even emailed me a document with my social and personal information saying if I didn't pay it would be going to court. They letter head was State by State Investigators. I am freaking out bad.
