A recording called, said they were the US Treasury & threatened jail time if I did not call them back 214-617-9668. I won't call them. I reported it to the Treasury IRS Scam.
Got a call from 214-616-9668 claiming to be treasury dept and I had to call them. I called them cussed them out. No problem since. Called From Red Oak, Tx.
Received a very nasty phone call from someone who said they were from the Treasury Department, and were making threats if I did not call them back. I called back ... and this was a so-called "non-working number"
Robotic type voice speaking very quickly and trying to cause panic or fear??? My caller ID had no name of caller, only said out of area. The number is 214 617-9688 (out of Texas) and the message said I was being contacted by the Treasury Department for the second time and if I didn't return their call, I would be called before a grand jury. Also, it was the "first call" I have ever received like that. Of course it didn't say if the message was for me or my husband. I don't call any number that has no caller ID. In fact, I don't even answer my phone most of the time because they are only trying to sell something or raise money for a charity. I know for a fact that the treasury department doesn't call people unless they are returning a call from a message that was left for them. Also, the treasury department is very easy to speak to and they don't make threats.
