Problem is, you have to find them, and you have to sue them in their home town, not yours. You might me able to recoop your costs of the flight out there, though. Bigger problem is that most of these people are not legitimate telemarketers. They are scam artists with spoofed numbers, so it's much more difficult to track them down and sue them or get them arrested.
Missed a call from this number - they left no message -when I called it a recording said this was a "general mailbox" and asked me to leave a message...(I did not)
FIRST CALL AT 3:52AM WAS FROM 214-624-5721
NEXT CALL AT 3:58AM WAS FROM 213-710-8121. ONE FROM CALIF. THE OTHER FROM TEXAS. TOO CLOSE NOT TO BE CONNECTED SOME HOW. SOME ONE HAS ACCESS TO VARIS OUT OF STATE NUMBERS AT THE TOUCH OF THE FINGER. HOWS THAT WORK?
These people are making me mad ... i've gotten at least 1 call per day for the past 60 days ... we are a business, BUT we don't process credit cards at this location. I've asked them to stop calling, reported them to the FCC, nothing stops these A-HOLES.
There is a well known fraud technique where they get you to say "yes" to various questions, then patch your answers into a "recorded call" that shows you bought a product.
Whatever you do, don't say "Yes" or answer any question at length.
