I got a call from "David Burgas" today. Almost fell for it. Until he asked for the numbers on the back of the pak cards. He even plays what sounds like a police scanner in the back ground. I wish I had googled the phone number, it would have saved me a lot of stress. He makes it sound like they don't care if you are guilty of anything, they will send someone to your work, to arrest you if you don't go pay the fine. Part of the deal is that you are not suppose to tell anyone. Ugh, I feel really stupid now, but at least he didn't get any money out of me. Just a few hours of freaking out. Called the local fbi office and they said it was a scam.
I got the same call. David Burgos with DEA out of Dallas. He said I was being investigated about an online purchase from 10 yrs ago. Said what happened to me would depend on how I cooperated on phone. Said we were being recorded. I said I'd have to speak with an attorney before talking with him. Then the line went crackly and he hung up. I did report to DEA scam line at 888-792-2873. And in the middle of a Breaking Bad marathon!
This guy left a message on my home phone like a dumby I called him back and left him a message giving him my cell. Thank God I google his # I have reported him too the FBI and DEA

I got the same call from this number and his so called partner Steve Hightower using phone number (214) 628-2473. I called the local DEA office in Houston yesterday to verify the badge number he gave. They informed me that it was BS and I they have received similar calls from others.
I received a call from this number today, 214-628-2280, on 10-9-13 at 10:02 am Central. The guy identified himself as a Federal DEA Agent badge # NL127901. The guy is a really good impersonator and has practiced his role very well. He even sounds like a redneck anal orifice officer of the law. His mistake, was trying to be to good. Threatening with an immediate arrest by federal marshals was to hard to swallow. I challenged and he freak, He said the marshals were on the way to get me and hung up. I pulled up the DEA site and right there on the front page is a warning about this scam. I called him back and he answered as DEA AGENT DAVID BURGERBUTT (burgass).
