I had not seen this message until today. I'm not familiar with who this client might be. I would like to get more details.
I certainly don't give up when a case goes in a different direction. I usually will explain a client's options when the case is ongoing. There are things that can be done to object to a defendant's bankruptcy. I know it can be frustrating to a client when the case does not go smoothly. In most cases we would advise the client about the odds on winning in each scenario as presented.
I'm going to need payment from the client to continue to do work for them. There are court costs to pay and attorneys cost money. If I knew who this person was I could probably explain more completely.
But, this seems to be not a client at all. He mentions I wasn't wearing a belt, clothes wrinkled, hair not combed. Seems like a fashion critic not a legal analyst. I'm guessing it's someone I collected money from that was unhappy about having to pay their bill with the extras that come with a judgment against them. But I don't know who this could be and would love more information about them and the case.
On the plus side I'm a 1982 Georgetown Law Center graduate. I have been doing this work in Dallas since 1983.
I was just given a Martindale Hubbell Preeminent rating which is given for the highest possible legal ability and ethical standards as determined by the bar and judiciary. So that means I'm probably not a con artist attorney.
If the reviewer would please provide more information about themselves I can give a more complete response.
It is possible that someone he knew did a Google of his number and brought the results to his attention (I did a Google of his phone number and right there on the top of the returns is this 800notes page with the preview being the first three and a half sentences of the original post.) and he came here to investigate and do damage control. In that case, whoever told him may not have paid attention to the date and thus he may have come here assuming the post was recent and did not bother to look at the date. Since he is trying to do damage control on his reputation, he probably does not care when the original post was made, he just wants to nullify what he can.
I had not seen the original post until the day before I replied.I had seen the date but wanted to reply for any damage control possible. It is interesting to see several folks noting my reply to the original entry. I note the others saying that it would be removed as being false. Are you or any of the others the administrators of this site? Is there any ability to determine the identity or email of the persons posting entries on this site? There are several I would like to explore if that is possible. Not this one necessarily but on another phone number.
All of the posters within this thread are just users of the site, none of them have administrative roles. They can report offensive posts and suggest that they be removed, but the only people who can remove posts are the administrators and they only remove posts that they determine violate the sites Terms of Service. There is no way for a user to find out who another user is or what their email address is unless that other user is willing to give out that information. You might have a chance going through the administrators of the site for such information, so you should check out the "Legal Stuff" link at the bottom of the page. But even then, since signing up for site access only requires submitting an email address and password, nothing that would be stored in the sites user database would guarantee that a user could be positively identified.
