As soon as I hear the line "sorry I'm having trouble with my headset" I hang up automatically. Seriously, they need another pick up line. That one is getting really old. Must get one of these calls once a month!
Seems like a phishing con. Machine comes on and say "I'm from the warranty department, can you hear me ok?"
I think if you say yes, they have your voice recorded and have your "yes" to whatever com they want to swindle you.
Don't say yes!'
Actually saw this on the news the other day. You are right, they record you saying "yes", then claim that you have agreed to whatever scam they are running.
