Caller asked for owner of phone number. Said he was from Buyer Direct and I had been drawn to be eligible for some sweepstakes. When questioned how they got my number the call disconnected. When tried to call back got a recording that the mobile number is no longer in service.
Called and asked for owner of my number. Was told that the number had been selected by a contest with 'Direct Buy'. Prizes were a flat screen TV, refrigerator or $50,000 makeover. Broken English and bad connection.
Caller asked for Sharon. When I told them there was no Sharon at this number, they proceeded to tell me that my number had been selected for a $50,000 makeover. Broken English and bad connection.
Scammer. I sniffed him out, too, you could hear the apprehension under his breath. He hung up on me after our little dialog. :)) I've tried to call back but it simply disconnects now.
