I was scammed by this peson, I know stupid me, but has anyone contacted the police? I had to file police reports and online reports with federal and internet crimes but just wondering if anyone had anymore information they could possibly give me to help with the investigation
Scam. This person contacted me on Craigslist interested in an item I'm selling. He then proceeded to try and send me a false check for a sum way more (~$1500 more) than the item. Claiming he was in the military and the extra money was insurance fees that I would cash a check for after it was deposited. His check would likely bounce....after 45 days. Be careful.
