I get these calls on my cell phone approximately once every day, the number seems to always be different, same call though. Usually they say nothing, I actually want them to say something so I can mess with them. They have called my work number in the past also.
This is a fake caller ID. The phone number is not valid. The company calling when this appears on your phone is pretending to be "extending your vehicle warranty". Their message says that your warranty will expire, then you get an offshore call center with someone pretending to help, but they're fishing for credit card numbers. If you give them your info they will steal your identity and charge, charge, charge!
Why do people think just because they get a phone number on their caller ID means they have to call it back! Not every one of these calls are necessarily FOR YOU. There are far too many automated/spam phone calls occurring everyday. Simple rule that many people follow is: If you are not familiar with the call, IGNORE IT! But please..... don't "call back" phone numbers just because they appear on your caller ID. Case in point is the person listed here as "Kathie Griffin." She personally had NOTHING to do with that phone number appearing, so don't make assumptions and "harrass" them back.
