A woman emailed me with this number below her signature, Helen Kemp. She claims to be the hiring manager for a web design company called Elite Designs LLC out of Philadelphia.
There is no web page or anything listed for this company and she offered to send hiring papers knowing absolutely nothing about me. So just another scam.
She just sent me an email today. I had a feeling it was too good to be true. Who would hire you to work at home without even meeting you or talking to you?? When did she contact you??
I just received the same email. She claimed that there would be no money requered. $38,000 base +commissions.
"The company provides all contractors with free training and promo materials along with the full phone & email support during your first month of work. In addition to the annual base salary of $38,500 (before taxes), you will receive the commission in the amount of 5% of the total amount of each closed sale (an average sale is usually around $5,000-7,500, depending in the number of services included). All cell phone, Internet and travel expenses are reimbursed by the company (reimbursements are added to your paycheck every month). And after the first 6 months of work you will become eligible for the corporate 401k plan, health insurance program and a 3-week vacation."
After job hunting for a while, I was excited. What a disappointment for the average American trying to get off unemployment! Why are there no laws against this and no prosecution? Are you kidding me!?
Sandy I feel the same way. I have been job hunting for a while and couldn't believe the job offer. I knew it had to be to good to be true. I got the exact same email this morning at 6:18AM. I was so excited to finally hear back from a job and to find out its a scam really brings me down. They were only requiring a high school diploma but paying you close to 40K??! That was my first clue that this was fake. We need to turn this lady in or whoever else is involved with this.
