I use free software and a modem that answers before the phone rings and says No Telemarking is allowed to this number, blah, blah and then hangs up.
The problem is that I have to keep adding people daily. The number of telemarketers that don't play by the rules has gone up 10 fold in the last few years.
The government needs to get out of the Do Not Call Registry because they do not investigate or handle any of these scum.
I have read there are some states that actually have strong do not call lists and enforce it but not the state I live in.
There should be mandatory blocking of known spammers by the telephone companies. This would be so easy to do and makes too much sense.
scam pharmacy...trying to get you to buy something...I answer phone in Korean and they ask for me by name and I just keep saying Hello, Hello in Korean and they eventually hang up.
Called moments ago, said his name was "Justin" and when I asked him the purpose of his call, he hung up on me. But I checked out this phone number by doing a search on it and see that at least one person has reported this as a fake pharmacy company selling drugs by phone.
Another online pharmacy scam. The Do Not Call List is worthless and there should be criminal penalties for the continued knowing violation of the law. Make these scumbags pay with jail time (both the owners and the [***] who hang up on you when you ask to be placed on their "Do Not Call" list) and this industry would dry up.
