They just called at my grahms house today asked for both times. The first time they said they where financial masters inc. and they needed to speak to her I said she was unavailable and they proceeded to give a message and a different number for he'd to call and I told them to take her the number off the call list and not to call back and that she would not be getting the message. Ten mins later they called back and claimed to be the FBI. Hahaha. What a jk. Freaking [***].
They have a B- rating with the Better Business Bureau...so they are in good standing!!!! also they have been in business since 1992. So they are no fly by night company.
B- (MINUS) Standing with 181 complaints is not good standing. If you read the list as to why they don't have a lower rating it is items such as time in business, etc. NOT because they have good business practices or received letters or praise.
This also replies to Jann and Mando who also mentioned the BBB but who may already realize this: Even an A+ rating doesn't mean diddly-squat with the BBB, as the BBB is NOT there to protect consumers - rather, it's just a place where companies can pay dues, appear in listings, and look good for being listed. The BBB 'may' have gotten a little better in recent years (by appearing to be more consumer-conscious once/only if confronted with massive complaints and media-worthy situations), but the bottom line is this: They are not there to police anything and the worst of the worst scam firms can still pay fees, sign up, and belong with A+ ratings. Only something as horrible as non-payment of dues or BBB-member complaints will cause ratings to drop long before any media-worthy consumer complaints finally enter the picture. In the past, at least, that was the case, and the BBB didn’t give a rat’s [***] to investigate companies based upon consumer’s complaints, instead simply telling callers to “call somebody else”. Please, don’t waste time calling them. Just call the places they may should you to call – i.e., check with your local consumer affairs bureaus or the Federal Trade Commission. They are actually there to protect you and will give you the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. :)
