They call me all the time. All the time. Never a message. Starnet on the caller ID. Reminds me of that David Bowie song. "There's a starman waiting in the sky
He'd like to come and meet us
But he thinks he'd blow our minds
There's a starman waiting in the sky
Hes told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie"
What I do is substitute the word "Starnet" for "Starman" and sing it.
I called the number back. The company is "Intellimark" - the recorded message was blurry, something about "an (something-something-alternative?) to public power. If you know your party's extension (something something). If not, please press zero and the next available agent will be more than happy to assist you."
The agent came on and very quickly agreed to put me on their do-not-call list. I hope it works.
Lots of calls. Caller ID says "Starnet" but nobody is there when I pick up; they never leave a message on my phone even though they call very frequently.
Calls 2 to 3 times a day. Never anyone on the other end so I assume it's computer generated and will eventually get picked up once the computer detects a live voice. Who are these people? Finally had to "call block" the number on my home phone...
