I call this the Pain Management scam. Don't press ANY number!!!
"Please do not hangup. This is not a sales call. This is a very important message to all Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance policy holders. The American Chronic Pain Association and the National Center for Chronic Pain Management has issued a serious prescription pain pill alert. In response to the alert, in an attempt to stop the growing use and abuse of prescription narcotic pain pills, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance has now authorized providing a revolutionary new pain relief medication to all policy holders suffering from physical pain or discomfort. This medication is applied directly to the pain related area and is non-narcotic and extremely effective. This new pain relief solution is covered one hundred percent by your Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance provider at no cost to you, and your pain relief medication can be shipped immediately. The only requirement is that you must be under the age of sixty five. So if you want immediate relief from your pain, and are under the age of sixty five, press 1 now to verify your address and delivery date. Again, press 1 now to arrange your delivery. Press five now to notify your health care provider that you have received the shipment."
THEY are the ones on the painkillers, and are seeking $$ to get more! Goody! Maybe they'll suffer so much, that THEY will stop calling, then turn themselves in, before they become a danger to them and all those around them.
