In answer to anoymous, I have wised up to that fact. They call twice in succession to see if someone will pick up on the second call. We have a business greeting on answer machine and they won't leave a message. Caller id says "unknown name." So now I don't even pick up on our local area code. If someone really wants info about our bompany's offerings they'll leave a message. These people are really sneaky aren't they?! Thanks for all the posts on this number.
This is a debt collection company. They don't leave a 800 call back number. They just call from a number in your local area code and wait for you to call it back.
I GET PHONE CALLS EVERY DAY ASKING FOR HECTOR RIVERIA. I TELL THEM THAT THIS IS MY NEW PHONE AND I AM NOT HECTOR RIVERIA AND I DO NOT KNOW ANYONE WITH THAT NAME.
THE HANG UP WITHOUT IDENTIFYING THEMSELVES. THE CALL BACK AND HOUR LATTER FOR THE SAME THING.
Source RM appears to be a bottom feeder dealing at least to some degree in junk debt.
They are aggressive callers and use Broadvoice communications. They are unswayed by the truth in caller id act, and your caller id will normally have either a city name, or "Broadvoice", the name of their phone carrier.
If you try to call them back, you may appear not to get through, although it is more likely that they are just creating the appearance of a failed call. Your call may be logged by their computer. If you get a person, it is difficult to get any information from the collectors, but the info you need is posted below.
