Apparently 215-857-5054 is customer service for Verizon - where somebody has been "spoofing" their number in an attempt to steal identity information and scam unwarry Verizon customers. They left a message - vagley heard - something about Verizon and $45 - when I called back I got Verizon Customer Service who explained that it was a spoofed call.
Recieved a call. Only 1 ring then disconnect before I could answer. Upon call back they wanted me to redeem a Gift card I was awarded that is usuable at a list of locations including Walmart. I hung up. It appeared they intentionally tried to only connect breifly to display as a missed call so you might call them back (?). They claim it was a return call from a business partner I solicited.
