I have been getting calls from this # 3-4 times a day for the pass week. They have the wrong # I told them that 3 times already and they still call. There is no Ruth or Nancy at this # so stop calling me,but they still call.
I didn't answer this, as I didn't know who it was. I tried to call it back. It just said "all calls may be monitored for quality control...please hold for our next representative"...but I got tired of holding and hung up...still don't know who it is. The recording didn't identify the company. I DO have some past-due debts...but don't know if this is related or not. sorry!!
Call this number back and it is NCO financial (collection company), I told them my phone number they looked it up and wanted to know who I was, I explained that I have had several call for a person with part of my name and they are searching to collect. First I as them the for the last four digits of the persons social security number they are looking for, then tell them it is not mine and if they call me back I will notify the FTC for unfair collection practices.
If you do owe them money, this is a collection agency, and you do decide to call them, do NOT admit to owing any debt. Simply say "I have no idea what you are talking about, please send me something in writing if you think I owe you money". Or just don't call them back.
If you do owe money, you do have rights when it comes to collection companies, check with the FTC or search the internet. You will fine good info
