Signed up for the online freebies and literally 3 minutes later they began calling my phone. It's only been 2 hours and they've already called twice. Ridiculous!
I filled out an online freebie questionaire yesterday and tried to cancel it in the middle because it asked questions that made me a little leary. Within 10 minutes after doing so the calls started. I did not answer because I didn't recongnize the number but they've called 6 times since yesterday. It only rings 3 times and then they hang up. What a Crock. If you read the online terms it says you accept even if you enter it on the no call list. You are right. LESSON LEARNED!!!!!! If it sounds too good to be true...
Keep getting calls. Realized I filled out a "freebie" sample form. Went back and read the "privacy" statement. Feel like a fool now. It's "free" alright -- only in the sense they don't ask for your credit card or account#. They get something MORE valuable -- like your personal information, IP address, etc. Worse yet, your personal information is SHARED at their whim with other companies. DNC may work for awhile but ... oh whatever!!
