SICK of all the calls....am really tired of having to interrupt what I am doing to care for an elderly family member to "check to see if I need to pick up a call"....SICK and tired of this.
I have been pressing one on some of these harassment/spam calls and going through a preliminary 3 or 4 questions then tell the person I'm talking to that I need to get a copy of my bill. Next, I lay the phone down and leave it until they hang up and my phone beeps with the off-hook signal.
That tactic might work with these surveyors.
Also, I did read where someone thought they were on the do not call list - but were not. After reading her account I went to the Nat. DNC list and found that while I have been registered since it's inception, and renewed when I had to renew I was NOT on the list anymore. I put my number back on the list and good ole Rachel hasn't called in over a week... but it does take up to 30 days for them to see your number back on the list.
