called my cell several times.  called back...  unknown/not working number.  annoyed.

they call and when i answer it sounds like they are taking the call off speakerphone, they dont say anything then hang up. comes up as SCR on caller id

They are Strategic Consumer Research SCR and if you want to talk to someone and tell them to take your name off the list call2162610308

Have had them call me several times and have asked to be taken off their calling list with no avail. What now, don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

I have been pressing one on some of these calls and going through a preliminary 3 or 4 questions then tell the person I'm talking to that I need to get a copy of my bill. Next, I lay the phone down and leave it until they hang up and my phone beeps with the off-hook signal.

That tactic might work with these surveyors.

Also, I did read where someone thought they were on the do not call list - but were not. After reading her account I went to the Nat. DNC list and found that while I have been registered since it's inception, and renewed when I had to renew I was NOT on the list anymore. I put my number back on the list and good ole Rachel hasn't called in over a week... but it does take up to 30 days for them to see your number back on the list.
