My 60 year old brother was getting his bills sent to our mom's house. When mom got cancer and came out of state to live with us, his bills followed even though I gave him the change of address forms 6 weeks earlier and followed up on it 2 weeks before changing my mom's address. So for 9 (almost 10) months I have been dealing with receiving his mail from BofA. I've sent mail back with his correct address, I've called them, I've called the creditors that they hired. No one will check into it and call his work address. They say they can't change his address without his permission but they changed it to MY address without his permission. The PO sent it to them since he never turned in his change of address form.
Recently, I even got a call on my own personal cell phone, asking for my brother. I haven't a clue how they got my number other than off caller ID when I called those other times to complain. Every time I tell them to remove my phone number and they say they will see what they can do, but like clockwork, the next month I get another call from a different representative and have to explain the whole drama again.
How in the world do I get them to get my address and phone number off of his account? I don't want his whacked out credit ending up on our credit report, which I know sounds far fetched, but has happened with someone living at our house. Different SSN, but it still ended up there and it is time consuming to remove. And now, they have sold my address to everyone-and-their-mother. I can tell it is from them cuz the name is always written exactly as it is on the bills they send.
Bank of America isn't helpful at all. They want to get paid and I keep telling them, "you want to get paid? How about sending the bill to the owner of the account. How about calling the owner of the account. I've given you his home AND work address and phone numbers. He hasn't got a bill from you in over 9 months! How is he supposed to pay." I just don't know what to do but am feeling harrassed by Bank of America for an account I have nothing to do with other than I know the person it belongs to. Any suggestions?

This number calls me and leaves me with the number 888-503-6091 to return the call at. I figure it's a scam, but I call anyways. They pick up on ONE RING, which is amazing. First question they ask off of that one ring? "Good morning this is so and so, can I have your social security number and name please?" I hung up.
I get this number calling me lots. I'm in a fight with BoA because they jumped my interest rate from 12 to 24% and I refuse to pay it. I'm terminal, so I don't care. I'll be dead before they can sue me! I guess I get the last laugh, eh? lol That lady in CA who went on UTube with the same case got her rate returned to 12%...They can do it. They are just gougers...they got their $45Billion bailout, right? Screw 'em!
