We received the same type of call tonight at 7:00pm from 216-759-4482. We went through 3 people asking to talk to supervisors and the message was the same. We talked to a "Thomas Kane" and A "Milsap Walters" They told us our account was going to collections tomorrow if we didn't pay over $400.00. We requested a hard copy of the documentation which they said they didn't have to provide. They want to fax or e-mail only right as we were speaking. It was a real hard sell but didn't give in. The scary part is they have our names, phone numbers, e-mail, credit card info and the dates when we stayed. It certainly doesn't give a person a comfortable feeling. Who exactly do you complain to that can do something about it to stop the calls.
I made a complaint to the Florida BBB it is pretty hard to find the correct place to file online... I used http://app1.800helpfla.com/cswebcomplaints/FileComplaint.aspx
These people must be stopped! They are obviously scaring enough people into giving them money to stay in business and there are allot of them doing this.
A person could start harrassing them by repeated calls to them, they threaten to call the police for harrassment but I believe they would never call the police and if they did then you could take advantage of the police being at your house and report them to the police, just use your caller id for proof they called and a print out of their BBB report that might be something that can shut these people down. They have been practicing like this for over six years, I believe Florida is a bit loose on there laws and enviornments like this can manifest themselves...
We have received three phone calls from them for the past two-three weeks. We had never stayed at the timeshare that they stated and they only had the last four digits of one of our debit cards. We told them that we would be turning in their information to the BBB. They were unwilling to give us their address or documentation. They would only tell us that they were located in Florida which isn't the case. The call came from OH. Do not give them your information. If they were legit they would readily send you documentation. Let's get them shut down!!
The 4th or 5th missed call from these people. Also received calls from 216-759-4482 and a few other numbers (they are never the same but all have identical reports of trying to collect $400). I have yet to actually speak to them but I will be shocked if they even know my name - I have never done business with a travel agency and the number they are calling is one I reserve for my immediate family.
How did they get this number?! It is my opinion this operation is completely fraudulent.
