If you owe a bill or the bill is a large amount, hide your banking info, hide your assets! They can always file a lawsuit to collect a debt, if you don't owe the debt then send a letter explaining and attach a copy of proof and send it cert mail with delivery confirmation/Signature. I would work something out with them and then they will stop calling. Until then, they will continue to call you. You can always contact in Ohio the attorney's general office if they are calling daily. I believe a debt collector can only call you every 7 days, don't hold me to that. Look up laws in your state on Google. Good Luck!
Yea that was great advice. I tried that and guess what? The debt ended up on my credit. Talked to an attorney and they couldn't help me. Lesson I learned: Dont hide from bill collectors, because they can screw you.
