I was a victim of identity theft, and Key Bank was involved. After almost 2 years and multiple phone calls and faxes to Key Bank with my federal case number, I get a call from Lance Gadson. Like other individuals he gives the impression of being a lawyer and "not just a collection agent." He reads out your personal info like your Social Security number and wants you to verify it over the phone. Does he think that a victim of identity theft is just going to give or verify info over the phone without questions? I'm calling Key Bank, then the Federal Trade Commission Identity theft line and reporting him.
I got a phone call today from 216-763-2116. this person was very rude and would not tell my his name or why he was calling. This person told me he didnot have to tell me anything. The questions he asked had to to with my real property and a person I haven't had concact with in four years. I think since he was asking about my property I should have the right to know what his question had to do with me.
I also got a call from this number, the message was weird and vague, so I called it back, the person answered as if it was a home line- when I asked who I had called, he replied, "You called my office, don't you know where you called?" Very, very rude and clearly if I owe them money or something, wouldn't it be in their best interest to at least identify themselves and their reason for calling?!
Lance Gadson, said some crazy stuff about IRS- but my taxes are paid up. These people are bogus.
This person is using a sham operation to leaving message purporting to be a business caller and returning my call and to please call him and if he is unavailable, have his secretary page him. If they are a debt collector (which I do not owe anyone), then his tactics are seriously in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and he needs to be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.
He called a relative of mine asking for me and was very very rude. Would not say why or what he was calling about. His number has now been blocked and won't be able to call my relative no more. Shame on you Lance. If you were nice you might get some where.
