Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation’s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that’s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.
I received a text from 217-401-4701 that said hola and my name. I asked who it was and the caller texted that if I wanted to know who it was I had to add them to my yahoo messenger and they gave their id. I told them no I wouldn't and not to contact me again. I blocked them and I will turn it over to a police officer friend of mine.
I got a message from 6099970290 saying "hi Jenny" asking if I used Y! IM and to add "textgirly469" but did not respond when I asked who it was. Who the hell is this and what do they want?!
