Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation’s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that’s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.
Same story as everyone above text from the same number they know my first name and when I ask who it is i get "do you use yahoo messenger?? cause im me my username is txtchikie75" all of the grammar and punctuation in that sentence is copied exactly. I'm using an iPhone4 dont know what everyone else is using or if it matters.
(217) 401-4701: hi Jordan
Me: Who is this?
(217) 401-4701: do ya use Y.ahoo messenger?! cuz msg me my username is txtflirty1
I know cell phone numbers went public this month. I didn't realize companies would be sending texts also. Hopefully the national no call list kicks in with blocking my number.
