My office receives several calls per week from 217-481-8314. The Caller ID reads "GET CASH NOW" but there is never anyone on the other end of the line after I answer/introduce myself.
I work at a business and we have been getting calls from this number at least 4x a week. Every time I answer saying "Thank you for calling _______ this is Emily how can I help you?" they just hang up.....every time! What is the point of calling if you aren't going to say anything
Probably a recorder scam trying to record you saying "yes" the the question of the owner is present. Never say yes. Once they have a yes, they can use that as a verbal binding agreement for whatever crooked things they do.
