Claims to be from Microsoft. They are scammers trying to get into your computer . If you don't sound elderly or very young they just hang up on you. Won't leave a message but will recall over and over if no answer or hold you online if they think they can scam you.

The absolute best thing you can do with these a**h*les is play along - provided you have the spare time. Drag the call out as much as possible. When they give you instructions to perform tasks on your computer, act like you don't know what you are doing, so that they continually repeat the instructions. Ultimately, they want you to go to a website: www.support.me. They will ask you to enter a code and then download a package. DO NOT DO ANY OF THIS.. Pretend you are doing so, but tell them nothing is happening - remember, drag it out. At some point they will lose patience with you or realize you are trolling them. The reason I recommend this, is the longer you keep them on the phone the more you are slowing them down and wasting their time. This in effect, is helping out the next unsuspecting victim. Their best targets are the elderly who are generally not as computer savvy and are prone to falling for these social engineering exploits.
Also, the number they are calling from is spoofed. They are basically masking their calls with a non-working number so that they cannot be traced. I hope you all find this helpful.
Just got the call. I'm hoping they will call again so I can string them out as suggested above. I'm retired and have lots of time also I have a Mac so they can't do any damage I presume.
