called me once asked and asked if they could speak with andrew and said that im speaking then they hung up >:/ called back and said can not be completed as dailed... wtf?!!! this is clearly telemarketing calling or a scam will be blcoking this number :D glad my phone can do that bye bye no more calling me hehe
Should I be concerned?? I've received 17 calls since 6am this morning, from this and other numbers from AZ, NM, MA, MN, IL, and other area codes I don't recognize. Sometimes there is someone there asking for "Nora" (not my name) and other times there isn't anyone there. When I call them back, the number is out I order. I'm sorry that all y'all are going thru this too, but I haven't seen anything seriously threatening, but if nothing else has come if this but harassment and annoyance, I'm semi ok with it as long as there isn't any danger of them hacking my shiz. Ugh...
After ignoring the calls most of the day, I finally answered and was told that due to a recent government demographics survey I was chosen to receive a $10,000 grant, no repayment at all. Wanted at CC# to deposit the money and personal details and asked me to call 202-470-6833 to talk to the finance department. SCAM
I too received a call similar for a little over 10,000 for a so called grant and either wanted bank account info or credit card info, next thing they heard was a click obviously a scam trying to get your information even got a call earlier today for another scam geesh.
I recieved a call from this number this morning...it sounded like there was a pause and then telemarketing noise in the background and then a very strong abusive male voice came on the line saying "I'm gonna [***] you" and I thought I didnt hear them right so I asked them youre gonna what? and they said have you got something wrong with your ears? and reapeated it again. I said I'm gonna call the FBI and hung up and they tried to call me again 3x in rapid succession. I did not answer. I have reported this to local authorities.
