I too have gotten numerous calls this week from them. They kept saying they need a payment immediately and my account is up-to-date. I told them that I would pay again on the 22nd of December and they said that is goo because it is due on the 23rd...why are they calling then is what I want to know? I also recieved calls from another # of theirs it is (402)220-4351
They don't have the guts to say anything cuz there the scum of the earth. If they did they wuld be professional and say who they are. I wud beat um up in a heartbeat but they wud run like the cowards they are. SCUM! LOSERS!
it is definatly a scam, I called chase directly to deal with my credit card issue (after being called countless times by them and being disconnected randomly) and was able to negotiate a deal, everthing was dealt with, then that number called again asking when I will pay them back, wanting me to send the payment directly to them. It can't be more obvious, so I told them out on it, and said that they are all a scam, it shut them up.
You are always better off dealing directly with the credit card company. But some of them are NOT willing to work with their customers. As for the collection agencies, some will work with you and some are just out right nasty. Most credit card companies have their own financial departments and I have found that they can be really easy to deal with. You can negotiate your interest and your sometimes even take all the extra payments off, of course soon they won't be able to charge the over the limit and late charge fees.
