This guy has now tried to scam us as well. We are situated in South Africa and he got our details from a local website where we were selling a boardroom table. He agreed to pay us the full amount via PayPal but then asked if we would mind if he deposited an additional $650 which we had to go pay to his shipping agent in China also through Western Union. He sent us a scanned copy of his US passport which you can see has been altered. According to him he resides in Hackney, North London and is a UPS Freight Supervisor. The email address and telephone numbers he used are as follows:
[email protected] & +447024044806. What ultimately gave him away was the fact that he switched his Name and Surname around. In some of the correspondence he called himself Capre and in others William. This is clearly someone who has managed to obtain a legal persons passport and is using it to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
