224-649-5526: Called and asked for me by name. Claimed to be some after school-type group soliciting donations donations to keep kids off the street, or something. When I said that I wasn't interested they hungup on me. Caller ID reads "IL CALL".
Upon picking up this call, heard a few notes of music (can't tell if it was automated or in background), then a man asked for me by name and said he was calling about a "combined police" [something, said too fast] fund or organization? and asked how I was doing today. I immediately said busy, send me something by mail and he hung up.
Caller asked for me by name, said they called me on nov6th regarding a $35 contribution to Veterans Now.
I said i did not recall a request. Asked for my credit card number to expedite the donation.
I said no, I will send a check, address 1202 N 75th st, Downers Grove, il.
Looked up address on the web and could not find the organization at that site.
