I got a text message from this number, said his name is Mark and he just bought a brand new house in town and needs a kitchen remodel. English was broken and why would a new build house need an extensive kitchen remodel. Red flags all over the place, wanted to see if I could find out what scam he is running. Just asked for the address of the home and best time to call him, see if he replies.
Caller claimed to be out of state with health issues and needed work done on his house. Asked me to run credit card for $7500 and send him $5000 and keep $2500 for deposit and tip. This was all via text. Said he could not talk. Name was Mark Blue.
Messaged me via text wanting to work with my design firm. Contacting an interior design firm at 7:30 PM by text is not a normal start to begin with. I asked him if he would like to schedule a design consultation and he said "before we proceed, I need to know which credit card you take." Another odd thing to say/do. I immediately googled his number. +1 (231) 287-5118. He mentioned his name was Mark as well. Please me aware of this scam artist.
This is Google number. Same approach, looking for a contructor firm, acceptance of credit cards is must.
I did talk to guy for less then a minute or so. Very deep african nigro accent of central african or northern countries.
They have bunch of stolen card numbers fom EU and US and they want you to transfer the cash from stolen cards to they acounts, so it's looks like you are the bad guy not them :))
