I received a call from this man (with a foreign accent)claiming to represent the Yellow Pages on line and was trying to sell me an online listing for my business for $50/month. I declined and he lowered the price and length of time. I again declined. He continued to pressure me so I told him I wasn't going to argue with him and that I was hanging up and I did.
Same thing here. But I keep them on the line as long as possible. There is no business anyway. Might as well cost them as much as possible and save the headache for the next guy. I agree to everything and then back out at the last minute. If we do it for 5-10 minutes each instead of seconds they will not be able to afford this much.
Just want to say I really appreciate this site. I've never even heard of 800Notes.com but I came into work today, had a missed call from this number you guys are talking about in this thread, and Googled it. You were the first result. Now I know not to bother calling back.
