Got this call now twice, claiming I had a shipment of a Medical Alert System free of charge, items and shipping and to schedule and shipping time.. I pressed 1 like it instructed hoping to get a human and it basically hung up on me.. I called it back and got the constant busy signal.. MAKE IT STOP!
Here too! I am an 80 yr old who just happened to be readying to go to hosp. (11:43am. Thurs. 7/18/13 when let ans. mach. take call), to see my 80 yr old husband. He was in Trauma ICU after emergency surgery Sun. 7/14/13 for bleeding in the head & had taken a tumble off & on with the last being 1 wk before this call. And YES, I for sure thought the hosp. had ordered it with Medicare having pd for a unit. Thankfully my 57 yr old daughter in town from out-of-state told me she thought it was a scam call & ignore message on ans. mach. I was puzzled as my husband isn't even home from hosp. yet. OH WHY OH WHY doesn't our government protect us all from these calls!!!
I just got a call for the same thing - an emergency alert product. This company was calling earlier this year with live operators who were extremely rude. When I told him the FBI had a tracer on my phone, which the idiot believed, he slammed the phone down.
Sometimes their reactions are almost worth being bothered by the call. :-)
