I got this call today. If you decline these calls at 5 rings i found it tricks the system in leaving a voicemail. This one is for auto warranty. But beginning with "heather" is a bad sign as *there is no Heather here. It then procedes to tell you "they sent you a letter informing you of expiring said warranty and this is a courtesy call. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK TO A WARRANTY SPECIALIST? (which the question repeats 3 times waiting for a response)..." In which this is another call trying to get you to say "yes" so they can take that and steal your soul. My always rule of thumb is to never answer calls I don't know, don't return the calls ever, and if they mistakenly leave message (which they probably wish never happened) let others know "don't be stupid".
I got called by this number back to back around 10:00 am. I did not answer. I googled it and phone were saying it's a car warranty scam. One person said not to remove yourself from their call list because calling back would verify your number is real and that they'd just sell it to someone else.
These creeps have called me 2-3 times per day for at least 2-3 weeks now and they are calling from various robo phone numbers. I keep adding them to my blocked callers list which is nearing 50+ blocked numbers. They are trying to pass themselves off as offering you an extended warranty on your vehicle. I thinks it dirty pool and unfair that these creeps can just keep calling and there is NOTHING I can do as a consumer to stop them because they keep using different phone numbers. Enough is enough! Just how in the H-E DOUBLE HOCKEY sticks are they getting my information? I have NOT recently been car shopping and my phone number is actively listed on our Do Not Call Registry!
