I got this call today. If you decline these calls at 5 rings i found it tricks the system in leaving a voicemail. This one is for auto warranty. But beginning with "heather" is a bad sign as *there is no Heather here. It then procedes to tell you "they sent you a letter informing you of expiring said warranty and this is a courtesy call. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK TO A WARRANTY SPECIALIST? (which the question repeats 3 times waiting for a response)..." In which this is another call trying to get you to say "yes" so they can take that and steal your soul. My always rule of thumb is to never answer calls I don't know, don't return the calls ever, and if they mistakenly leave message (which they probably wish never happened) let others know "don't be stupid".
Rec'd call, no VM msg. I don't know anyone from Ohio so I didn't answer. This came in on my private cell #. Seem to have seen a serious uptick in these types of calls in the past couple of months. Somewhere, my personal # was SOLD and have been getting random calls (no msgs) from states where I don't know anyone. Annoying.
Isn't that the way to get the iPhones to ring even if they are in do not disturb mode? ( I think it's really for family members to get you in an emergency)
