I get a call from this number at leat three times a day when it first started I ignored it thinking it was just because I have a new phone and they have the wrong person. Then it never stopped they kept calling every day and every now and then leave a message that was blank. I've set my phone to auto deny for this number but they can still leave voicemails. Today however I got a voice mail from a man who clearly wasn't paying attention and asked for me by name several times on my voice mail.. I will be answering next time and demanding a supervisor.. I didn't sign up for anything!
This company is college.Com and refuses to remove numbers even when asked repeatedly. They are an enrollment solicitor. They will hang up on you if you ask them to remove you and keep calling EVERY DAY. 1 234-360-1415
It's a scam. I just got my phone number turned on two days ago and she started calling asking for me by name (first and last), asking if they had the right email address on file for some online education form she said I filled out. I asked how she got my number and she said "I can't tell you that." Don't give them any information. If they try to confirm anything, politely ask them what they have and try to get as much information as possible. They'll ask you to either confirm or update everything, so just give a fake email address and information for them to "update" if you can. The only good that can come out of talking to them is to figure out what they know and give as much false information as possible. Can't be too careful.
