Just got that same SPAM and exactly the same text. Not sure what this guy is about, but figured they were dodgy - so Googled his number and found this thread... Glad I did!!
My son got the same text from this number. He was selling concert tickets. I told him to tell them to send the check to me (a police officer). A check for $1,980 arrived. FAKE of course. Reported to the proper authorities
I just got the same text verbatim, word for word. when i ask them to call me they said they had been trying but that they didn't have good cell reception were they were. then i asked were they where, they said Ohio.
so if you get a reply from this number, keep them talking, ask as many questions as you can. just to piss them off.
Be aware!! Just received my Cashiers Check for $2,480.00, which the furniture I was selling was for $400.00! ALL FAKE! Cashiers Check is from Desert School Federal Credit Union however, it says Phoenix Astron instead of Arizona... Called the Credit Union and they've confirmed they've gotten multiple calls with the same complaint, not a valid check. Same phone number, same story all a scam!
