I received a call via my cell phone from the this number. He new my son's name and birthday. The gentleman stated that he was contacting my son about a bad check. The red flag, my son used me as a reference, but, he could not tell me my name. My son has never had a checking account to committ check fraud. Please be aware!
i just received a call from a Tiffany Ames from this number. she left a case number and said for me to call. i did not and will not call back because i have been scammed before and know that most companies if you have a bad check or even not pay a loan they will garnish your wages to get their money before doing anything else.. this is a scam.
I have now received a phone call from these people .. Tiffany as the last poster said .. about a month ago they called my siblings homes (All 3 of them) and got my mother in a panic .. I told it was nothing to worry about. They started these phone calls about 2 years ago and the first time I did panic.
They threatened that my state's attorney general's office was going to file suit and charge me with check fraud. I took care of that with one call the NJ Ag who told me they do not take action against individual citizens, but do take action against corporations and businesses.
I have saved almost every single one of these voicemails .. some from JACKSONVILLE, FL area codes, others with ATLANTA .. and now this 234 number. I even have one voicemail saved which makes me chuckle somewhat because the caller said he Zach Thomas, former linebacker for the Miami Dolphins.
I have filed several complaints with the FTC and want to figure out a way to go after these guys and finally put a stop to them. They are using illegal practices.
they too called my phone asking for my husband i was so panicked with it that i called my parents. My parents got there lawyer to contact them and soon we found out it was for sure fraud/SCAM. My parents have called the cops on them and their lawyers are investigating this so called company. Now i hope they will go govern yourself accordingly and good luck like they stated on my voicemail. They even threatened to have my husbad locked up. how shameful.
I too received a phone call and I call my local fbi office in houston. They told me I can't go to jail over a defaulted payday loan. If anything they can put a lien on any assets you may have. Their debt collection tactics are against the law. Hope this helps.
