well he's back at it again... This one was a single family cape cod in Brookfield, WI... all utilities included for only $525/month, yeah right... you cant even get an upper 2 br apartment in that neighborhood for less than $700. I knew the minute i saw it something had to be wrong with this ad. Craigslist pulled it down after only 2 days tho so they must be catching on to him.. what an a** hole. Still uses the same rental application and phone number (which was how i found this scam blog) but this time he adds a little note at the bottom of the email to try to sling people along a little longer without getting caught in the scam.. check out this slick sh**:

He also claimed that his name was RUTH, and now its the WIFE that is a "medical doctor" who works for the American Red Cross Lutheran Hospital Donor Center and was transferred to a branch in West Africa. So i guess hes trying to appeal to lesbians, doctors, and anyone with a good heart to help the needy. Dick

Same thing for Chevy Chase maryland listing.....1000 a month for 5BR?!?!? Called Long and Foster who was really handling the rental and they said it was a scam. Scared the scammer of by telling him i thought it was a scam and he hung up.
Got the same scam as listed about the couple owing a house in Rockwall, Texas but are on Prayer mission in Africa. I knew it was too good to be true!! The house is listed with a Realtor for $1800 month and the Craigslist posting has it listed at $700 month.
Yeah, I saw this same thing on Craigslist for a house I was looking to rent. He called himself Eric Isherwood. It's probably a fake name, but he wanted me to wire him over $1000. I'm still emailing him, he doesn't know that I know it's a scam. I think I'm gonna play dumb a little while longer and see if he will slip up... Thanks for the info on this site!
Any suggestions on how to bring justice to this guy would be great, but there's probably nothing we can do. I'm just gonna waste some of his time in hopes that he won't be able to mess with other people.
